Ödeborg IK's supporters rose to their feet, but Birger Blixt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vilhelm Öberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dag Dalgren came free with the goalkeeper in the 9th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Vilhelm Öberg could save by the left post. Vilhelm Öberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Birger Blixt in the 10th minute of play. Dag Dalgren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Vilhelm Öberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 13 minutes into the match, Skärplinge IFK's goalkeeper Vilhelm Öberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Birger Blixt. Skärplinge IFK's Vilhelm Öberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Birger Blixt in the 17th minute of play. In the 18th minute, Sven-Olof Möller hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Skärplinge IFK's Vilhelm Öberg got control of the ball when Dag Dalgren tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ivar Bure was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 21 minutes into the match. Simon Törnkvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vilhelm Öberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Birger Blixt in the 28th minute of the match. A collision led to Skärplinge IFK getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Oskar Hellbom hit a great ball. Vilhelm Öberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Birger Blixt's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. Sven-Olof Möller hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Birger Blixt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Vilhelm Öberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Skärplinge IFK's Vilhelm Öberg got control of the ball when Dag Dalgren tried to sneak it across the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Simon Törnkvist made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Dag Dalgren left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ödeborg IK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dag Dalgren in the 56th minute of play forced Skärplinge IFK's goalkeeper Vilhelm Öberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dag Dalgren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vilhelm Öberg having to interfere. Sven-Olof Möller hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Ödeborg IK's Dag Dalgren got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Skärplinge IFK's Vilhelm Öberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Birger Blixt in the 70th minute of play. Birger Blixt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Dag Dalgren's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vilhelm Öberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. If Birger Blixt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 87 minutes into the match, Skärplinge IFK's goal looked a bit too open when Birger Blixt came free, but Vilhelm Öberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Birger Blixt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. For all the effort they put into the match, the Skärplinge IFK players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Ödeborg IK.
