Göran Fernkvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl Lindman having to interfere. Börge Hökqvist stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Melker Forss's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. After 23 played minutes, Mariefred BF's Felix Olenberg shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Karl Lindman came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Mariefred BF reached it. Göran Fernkvist took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Karl Lindman. Karl Lindman dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Börge Hökqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Melker Forss, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 35 minutes, Markus Hökkvist mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mariefred BF and the Junosuando players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Junosuando booed when Mariefred BF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Markus Hökkvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Melker Forss sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kennet Kjellqvist's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 44thth minute, Börge Hökqvist skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Karl Lindman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sixten Mårtensson's shot from short distance in the 49th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Birger Norberg charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Birger Norberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 55th minute there was a penalty for Mariefred BF. Junosuando's Sven-Åke Spetz got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Göran Fernkvists short, quick shot in the 59thth minute got Karl Lindman to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kennet Kjellqvist in the 62nd minute of play forced Mariefred BF's goalkeeper Börge Hökqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kennet Kjellqvist in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal.
