Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Stig-Ove Sundström started the match with the kick off. In the 5th minute, Stig-Ove Sundström got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Stig-Ove Sundström blasted a shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edward Rolandsson having to make a save. Sven-Edvin Gernberg came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by Romelanda FK's Patrik Gunnarsson. But to his dismay, Patrik Gunnarsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Elof Hylander struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Sven-Edvin Gernberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Romelanda FK. After a defensive mix-up in Romelanda FK's zone, Jim Lång stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edward Rolandsson came out of the goal and Jim Lång tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Östra Ryd IK fans' excitement grew in the 19th match minute when Östra Ryd IK's Jim Lång looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The audience held their breath when Bengt-Arne Vallin in the 24th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Sven-Edvin Gernberg's left hand side. Sven-Edvin Gernberg came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Romelanda FK's Elof Hylander. But to his dismay, Elof Hylander quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patrik Gunnarsson in the 30th minute of play forced Östra Ryd IK's goalkeeper Sven-Edvin Gernberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sture Bollström's late challenge caught a Östra Ryd IK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sture Bollström helped the player get up and apologised. After 36 played minutes Romelanda FK got a freekick which was hit by Sture Bollström. If Elof Hylander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Patrik Gunnarsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Jim Lång received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Edward Rolandsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Stig-Ove Sundström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jim Lång fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edward Rolandsson having to interfere. A collision led to Östra Ryd IK getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Hans Byström hit a great ball. 79 minutes into the match, Romelanda FK's Bengt-Arne Vallin broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. If Elof Hylander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Östra Ryd IK's Ingvar Hökkvist got a free kick in the 85th minute. Patrik Gunnarsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Romelanda FK's Edward Rolandsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stig-Ove Sundström in the 95th minute of play. In the 96th minute Jim Lång shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edward Rolandsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
