The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gilbert Elg might have been able to make a better finish in the 3rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcus Åhman. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gilbert Elg ran back to his position shaking his head. Pontus Tham sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kasper Gunnarsson's late challenge caught a Krylbo BF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kasper Gunnarsson helped the player get up and apologised. After 10 played minutes Stocksund IF got a freekick which was hit by Kasper Gunnarsson. Marcus Åhman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilbert Elg in the 12th minute of the match. Marcus Åhman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilbert Elg in the 15th minute of play. After some careless play in the Stocksund IF defense, Gilbert Elg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcus Åhman. The Stocksund IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcus Åhman should have stopped the shot. In the 21st match minute, Krylbo BF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sören Mikaelsson to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 22 minutes, Pontus Tham managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stocksund IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pontus Tham was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 23 minutes into the game, Ingemar Göransson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Krylbo BF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Stocksund IF the free kick. When Pontus Tham came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Stocksund IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pontus Tham couldn't finish the play. Marcus Åhman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Birger Siöberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Charles Larsfelt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Marcus Åhman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
