Elliott Asplund blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without William Fransson having to make a save. 23 minutes into the match, Köping IF's goal looked a bit too open when Esbjörn Isaksson came free, but William Fransson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Karl-Michael Brodin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alf Brandin, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. When Michel Myr fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nye's protests and gave Michel Myr a yellow card for diving instead. Axel Högberg succeeded in the game's 34th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-0. The audience was convinced that Elliott Asplund's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but William Fransson was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Köping IF had won after a very even match.
