The wind increased when Karl-Oskar Berggren made the kick off in the second half. Gabriel Widberg's late challenge caught a Västerås's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. Karl-Oskar Berggren recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 66 played minutes Västerås got a freekick which was hit by Malte Johansson. In the 69th match minute, Västerås was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gottfrid Rosin to maneuver through the defense. When Hjalmar Lundkvist fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hällnäs's protests and gave Hjalmar Lundkvist a yellow card for diving instead. Hällnäs's supporters rose to their feet, but Karl-Oskar Berggren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leo Classon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
