Valter Björk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eric Henriksson having to interfere. Eric Henriksson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kaj Olenberg's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. Jesper Wennerlund hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. The referee ignored Berghem IFK's protests and gave Jim Björling a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Mårdaklev BF booed when Berghem IFK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jim Björling didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mårdaklev BF's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Malcolm Lenberg in the 51st minute. The corner led Mårdaklev BF's Malcolm Lenberg to fire away a dangerous shot which Eric Henriksson despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kaj Olenberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Viggo Trulsson struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. After 63 minutes, Kaj Olenberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mårdaklev BF and the Berghem IFK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Eric Henriksson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kaj Olenberg in the 67th minute of play. Kaj Olenberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adrian Hedberg in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Manfred Odeen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Viggo Trulsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manfred Odeen having to interfere. In the 92nd minute Adrian Hedberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manfred Odeen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Viggo Trulsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adrian Hedberg in the 101st minute of play forced Mårdaklev BF's goalkeeper Manfred Odeen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
