An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfred Säf in the 12th minute of play forced Ullånger's goalkeeper Alfons Albohm to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alfons Albohm made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfred Säf in the 14th minute of play. Bengt-Åke Clementsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 18 minutes into the match, Ullånger's goal looked a bit too open when Joakim Sundström came free, but Alfons Albohm reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 20th minute Kurt Göransson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfons Albohm saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Flarken IFK's Joakim Sundström got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alfons Albohm showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joakim Sundström in the 23rd minute of the match. 24 minutes into the match, Ullånger's goal looked a bit too open when Alfred Säf came free, but Alfons Albohm reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Flarken IFK defense, Olof Hedvall kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Robert Nyman. The Flarken IFK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Robert Nyman should have stopped the shot. Alfred Säf might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alfons Albohm. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alfred Säf ran back to his position shaking his head. Alf Boman hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. 43 minutes into the match, Flarken IFK's Alfred Säf sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alfons Albohm narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Alfons Albohm showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joakim Sundström, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alfred Säf to make the kick off.
