Åkarp FK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hamra FK the free kick. After a rather tough play, Åkarp FK's Torsten Wallgren got a free kick in the 35th minute. Claes Henriksson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ture Ahlbeck having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Marc Sjöberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joakim Pettersson was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marc Sjöberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Viggo Unesson's late challenge caught a Åkarp FK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Viggo Unesson helped the player get up and apologised. Hans Fastesson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joakim Pettersson having to interfere. In the 68th minute, Claes Henriksson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ture Ahlbeck was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. After 73 played minutes Åkarp FK got a freekick which was hit by Andreas Tholsson. Åkarp FK's Hans Fastesson got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hans Fastesson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mårten Kielberg kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Ture Ahlbeck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Per Hedbom, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
