The supporters of Borghamn booed when Eksjö was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arvid Stål didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gert Emander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl-Michael Lilja having to interfere. Christian Lundberg hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. In the 16th minute Gert Emander shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karl-Michael Lilja saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 18 minutes into the match, Eksjö's goal looked a bit too open when Orvar Arvidsson came free, but Karl-Michael Lilja reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gert Emander received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Karl-Michael Lilja tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kjell Hammarström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 24th minute, Orvar Arvidsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kjell Hammarström in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hugo Johansson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 28 minutes, Billy Ahlin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Borghamn and the Eksjö players grew even worse after the yellow card. Billy Ahlin kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Christian Lundberg charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Christian Lundberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kjell Hammarström couldn't finish the play. The wind increased when Kjell Hammarström made the kick off in the second half. Kjell Hammarström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Ingvar Arenberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Eksjö's supporters rose to their feet, but Ingvar Arenberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hugo Johansson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 54 played minutes Borghamn got a freekick which was hit by Edwin Brenner. If Christian Lundberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 58 played minutes Borghamn got a freekick which was hit by Börje Mellin. 61 minutes into the match, Borghamn's goal looked a bit too open when Ingvar Arenberg came free, but Hugo Johansson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 74th minute, Edwin Brenner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kjell Hammarström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Eksjö fans cheered their team off the field, for while Borghamn had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
