Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Andreas Magnusson started the match with the kick off. When Genevad's Andreas Magnusson in the 3rd minute got a chance for a shot 3rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Eksjö's goalie prevented a goal. In the 6th minute, Nicklas Albohm left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Genevad fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. A collision led to Eksjö getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Kjell Hammarström hit a great ball. Harry Björkman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kjell Hammarström in the 15th minute of the match. Freddie Gabrielsson took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 18th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Harry Björkman. Genevad's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Kjell Hammarström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Harry Björkman having to interfere. In the 28th minute, Christian Dahlbom hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Genevad getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Christian Dahlbom hit a great ball. Genevad's Harry Björkman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ingvar Arenberg in the 34th minute of play. Christian Dahlbom kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Harry Björkman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kjell Hammarström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Eksjö booed when Genevad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Axel Västlund didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thomas Stenström charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Thomas Stenström the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Genevad's Thomas Stenström got a free kick in the 42nd minute. In a very dangerous position, a player in Genevad fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 43rd minute. Penalty! In the 46th minute there was a penalty for Eksjö. Karl-Ove Sundling stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Harry Björkman. 2-2. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kjell Hammarström was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Genevad's Andreas Magnusson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Karl-Michael Lilja narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Genevad were awarded a corner in the 54th minute after Eksjö's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Richard Asklund took the corner. The corner ended in Richard Asklund almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Eksjö's Karl-Michael Lilja did a great save. The supporters of Eksjö booed when Genevad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicklas Albohm didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ingvar Arenberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Harry Björkman having to interfere. In the 60th minute Kjell Hammarström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Harry Björkman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kjell Hammarström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 69 minutes, Andreas Magnusson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Genevad's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andreas Magnusson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kjell Hammarström received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Harry Björkman came out and tried to block the shot, but Kjell Hammarström slotted it home off the left post making it 2-3 in the 72nd minute. Karl-Michael Lilja made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicklas Albohm in the 77th minute of play. Kjell Hammarström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Harry Björkman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The nice shot from Ingvar Arenberg in the 84thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Harry Björkman had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kjell Hammarström in the 86th minute of play forced Genevad's goalkeeper Harry Björkman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 87 minutes into the game, Christian Dahlbom was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Genevad's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Eksjö the free kick. After 87 played minutes Genevad got a freekick which was hit by Christian Dahlbom. 89 minutes into the match, Genevad's goal looked a bit too open when Kjell Hammarström came free, but Harry Björkman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 89 played minutes Genevad got a freekick which was hit by Axel Västlund. Genevad's Harry Björkman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kjell Hammarström in the 92nd minute of play. 94 minutes into the match, Genevad's goal looked a bit too open when Kjell Hammarström came free, but Harry Björkman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Eksjö walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
