After a rather tough play, Fegen IFK's George Lundkvist got a free kick in the 5th minute. After 8 minutes, Karl-Ove Fransson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tomteboda and the Fegen IFK players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Tomteboda getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Karl-Ove Fransson hit a great ball. Fegen IFK's Johan Vollander couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 9th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Tomteboda. After having played for 13 minutes, Erland Eklund managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fegen IFK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Erland Eklund was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 16 minutes into the match, Tomteboda's goal looked a bit too open when Håkan Tunberg came free, but Max Billberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 17th minute Håkan Tunberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Max Billberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 20 played minutes Fegen IFK got a freekick which was hit by Claes Bammerman. If Tomas Billock had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pelle Alebeck acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 26th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Leif Tolsson. Håkan Tunberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Max Billberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tomteboda's Tomas Billock got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 41 minutes into the match, Fegen IFK's goalkeeper Pelle Alebeck had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Billock. Erland Eklund's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Max Billberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

In the 53rd minute, Tor Holmgren got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 66 minutes, Erland Eklund managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fegen IFK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Erland Eklund was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 71 minutes, Max Billberg successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Billock in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pelle Alebeck saved Fegen IFK from getting behind. Fegen IFK's Håkan Tunberg got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 81st minute, David Viberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Max Billberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erland Eklund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 93rd minute of the match, Erland Eklund tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Max Billberg saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The Fegen IFK supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Fegen IFK would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
