With an extended leg and a bit of luck Henric Vestberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Oliver Nordin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Östersund's supporters rose to their feet, but Oliver Nordin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Henric Vestberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Östersund fans' excitement grew in the 38th match minute when Östersund's Rasmus Kinnman looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Peder Ahlstedt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manfred Ström having to interfere. The wind increased when Alex Lägdin made the kick off in the second half. Manfred Ström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Peder Ahlstedt in the 62nd minute of the match. Henric Vestberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oliver Nordin in the 74th minute of play. A collision led to Mattmar IK getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Kent Ödman's late challenge caught a Mattmar IK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kent Ödman helped the player get up and apologised. Manfred Ström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peder Ahlstedt in the 90th minute of play. After some careless play in the Östersund defense, Alex Lägdin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Manfred Ström. The Östersund fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Manfred Ström should have stopped the shot. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Östersund eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
