Freddie Igelström made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Claes Spetz sent off a good shot on target. The referee ignored Tvärred IFK's protests and gave Ragnar Lidström a yellow card for diving instead. Ragnar Lidström hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Staffan Blomqvist stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bernt Viklund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Erland Stenberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. In the 86th minute Michael Jakobsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Freddie Igelström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mikael Hääger could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Erland Stenberg made a huge save.
