Fabian Anundsson showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Stefan Heggert showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ingmar Sandström in the 6th minute of the match. Fabian Anundsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 11th of the match, Fabian Anundsson tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Jim Lilja got in the way and made a wonderful save. Gustafs's Lars Pihl got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 16 minutes into the game, Kalle Björk was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Öje's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gustafs the free kick. Kalle Björk hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. In the 18th minute, Ingmar Sandström made a precise shot to the right of Stefan Heggert. Öje's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Jim Lilja took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabian Anundsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Gustafs's zone, Sigvard Överman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jim Lilja came out of the goal and Sigvard Överman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jim Lilja made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabian Anundsson in the 26th minute of play. Sigvard Överman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Jim Lilja made a huge save. When Gustafs's Lars Pihl in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Öje's goalie prevented a goal. Gustafs's Ingmar Sandström got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ingmar Sandström in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Stefan Heggert saved Öje from getting behind. When Ingmar Sandström came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Gustafs fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ingmar Sandström couldn't finish the play. Stefan Heggert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lars Pihl, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fabian Anundsson to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Gustafs's Ingmar Sandström sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Stefan Heggert narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Öje's Stefan Heggert proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Öje from getting a goal against them. In the 57th minute, Ingmar Sandström got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Fabian Anundsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Öje's supporters rose to their feet, but Fabian Anundsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jim Lilja breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 64 minutes, Sigvard Överman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Öje's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sigvard Överman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lars Pihl received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Stefan Heggert tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Öje's goalkeeper Stefan Heggert, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sigvard Överman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Jim Lilja tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Öje booed when Gustafs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronny Sundberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sigvard Överman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jim Lilja having to interfere. Fabian Anundsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fabian Anundsson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jim Lilja having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Sigvard Överman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gustafs's Jim Lilja played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabian Anundsson in the 94th minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Öje fans cheered their team off the field, for while Gustafs had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
