Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Sandhem's Sakarias Jakobsson started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Sakarias Jakobsson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Leo Hake having to make a save. In the 8th minute, Paul Ek got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Alfred Lustig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leo Hake made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sakarias Jakobsson in the 16th minute of play. 17 minutes into the game, Magnus Åberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vårgårda IK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sandhem the free kick. Mathias Skarkman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alfred Lustig in the 21st minute. 23 minutes into the match, Vårgårda IK's goal looked a bit too open when Sakarias Jakobsson came free, but Leo Hake reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 25th match minute, Sandhem was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sakarias Jakobsson to maneuver through the defense. In the 29th minute, Erland Blom made a precise shot to the right of Leo Hake. Vårgårda IK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Sandhem's Mathias Skarkman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Sandhem from getting a goal against them. After 33 played minutes Vårgårda IK got a freekick which was hit by Alfred Lustig. Joakim Mårtensson hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Paul Ek managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vårgårda IK's supporters rose to their feet, but Paul Ek was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mathias Skarkman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mathias Skarkman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paul Ek in the 47th minute of play.

The wind increased when Paul Ek made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Orvar Lang got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mathias Skarkman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Paul Ek's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. Vårgårda IK's Leo Hake played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sakarias Jakobsson in the 57th minute of play. Sakarias Jakobsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Leo Hake tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sakarias Jakobsson struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Leo Hake didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sandhem. The referee felt a red card was in order, 72 minutes into the game, when Leif Tomasson put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in Sandhem fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 71st minute. Penalty! Mathias Skarkman had in the 74thth minute some difficulties stopping Orvar Lang's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 74th minute, Orvar Lang ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mathias Skarkman was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The audience was convinced that Alfred Lustig's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mathias Skarkman was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. Karl-Michael Ekström kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match.
