Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Henrik Christoffersson got the match started through his kick off. In the 3rd minute Erik Ahlbom shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karl-Ove Ersman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Henrik Christoffersson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Olov Jansson having to make a save. A collision led to Koppom getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Johannes Nyström hit a great ball. In the 12th minute of the match Per-Arne Björkdahl shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Olov Jansson showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Götene's Adam Wallman got a free kick in the 19th minute. After having played for 20 minutes, Gösta Svartengren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Koppom's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gösta Svartengren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Erik Ahlbom had several of the Götene's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 23 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Karl-Ove Ersman as he didn't even see the shot coming. After 26 minutes of play, Götene's Roland Björkkvist made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Olov Jansson was left in no man's land by his defense there! Roland Björkkvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olov Jansson having to interfere. Gösta Svartengren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Koppom's Erik Ahlbom slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Karl-Ove Ersman. That made the score 2-1 after 41 minutes of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Erik Ahlbom in the 49th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Karl-Ove Ersman saved Götene from getting behind. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Erik Ahlbom to make the kick off. Karl-Ove Ersman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gösta Svartengren, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. 55 minutes into the match, Götene's goal looked a bit too open when Erik Ahlbom came free, but Karl-Ove Ersman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 63 played minutes, Koppom's Magne Tholsson shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Karl-Ove Ersman came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Koppom reached it. 65 minutes into the match, Koppom's goalkeeper Olov Jansson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Roland Björkkvist. Roland Björkkvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Olov Jansson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Henrik Christoffersson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olov Jansson having to interfere. A collision led to Koppom getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Jerry Lundin hit a great ball. Roland Björkkvist recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 75 minutes into the match, Götene's Henrik Christoffersson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Olov Jansson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 80th minute, Christoffer Almqvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Götene's Karl-Ove Ersman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erik Ahlbom in the 81st minute of play. In the 82nd minute, Gösta Svartengren ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Karl-Ove Ersman was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Olov Jansson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henrik Forss, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Karl-Ove Ersman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erik Ahlbom in the 93rd minute of the match. In the 94th minute, Gösta Svartengren made a precise shot to the right of Karl-Ove Ersman. Götene's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. Götene's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Koppom had won, even though Götene had held more of the ball.
