Ulf Beckeman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gunnar Klintæus in the 25th minute of the match. After having played for 27 minutes, Gunnar Klintæus managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hofors's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gunnar Klintæus was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hofors's Gunnar Klintæus got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 42nd minute Sven Qvalfeldt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filiph Eriksson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sven Qvalfeldt was the one to do the kick off. If Christer Engman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. Filiph Eriksson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Ola Forss managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fårösund's supporters rose to their feet, but Ola Forss was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Filiph Eriksson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jonny Bergfelt hit a great ball. The supporters of Hofors booed when Fårösund was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Johansson didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot by Albin Björkkvist from long distance, 88 minutes into the match, got Ulf Beckeman's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Ulf Beckeman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christer Engman in the 90th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Hofors's zone, Ola Forss stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Filiph Eriksson came out of the goal and Ola Forss tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 95th minute Christer Engman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulf Beckeman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Fårösund fans cheered their team off the field, for while Hofors had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
