The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ransäter BK's André Olofsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mats Petersson in the 5th minute of play. Per-Åke Lundblad received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Ulrik Gustavsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ulrik Gustavsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bengt-Åke Thedin in the 14th minute of the match. In the 31st minute of the match, Dan Tunander got a very nice opportunity to score, but André Olofsson was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Bengt-Åke Thedin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulrik Gustavsson having to interfere. Holger Lindholm kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. The attack was good, but when Dan Tunander in the 42nd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. In the 45th minute, Mats Petersson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Ransäter BK's Holger Lindholm got a free kick in the 46th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mats Petersson was the one to do the kick off. Gert Ivarsson's late challenge caught a Ransäter BK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gert Ivarsson helped the player get up and apologised. In the 67th match minute, Killeberg FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gert Ivarsson to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Ransäter BK's Bengt-Åke Thedin got a free kick in the 68th minute. If Bengt-Åke Thedin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. Knut Nyberg helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Ransäter BK getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Knut Nyberg hit a great ball. After 99 minutes Ransäter BK's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Erling Gunnarsson who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Fredrik Njurenius almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ransäter BK's André Olofsson did a great save. Ransäter BK were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
