Ingemar Nordgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christian Pååk in the 4th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Sandhult's Benjamin Henriksson got a free kick in the 5th minute. Sandhult's Ingemar Nordgren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastian Sjödin in the 6th minute of play. A collision led to Sandhult getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Edvin Rudqvist hit a great ball. 7 minutes into the game, Sebastian Sjödin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Ingemar Nordgren was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Erling Sjögren kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Ingemar Nordgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christian Pååk in the 16th minute of the match. 17 minutes in the game, George Beckeman fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Roy Pålsson having to interfere. When Tom Linqvist, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 18 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Roy Pålsson was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 19th match minute, Årsta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sivert Dusett to maneuver through the defense. After 22 minutes, Edvin Rudqvist mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sandhult and the Årsta players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 22nd minute, Edvin Rudqvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Tom Linqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Årsta's Roy Pålsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by George Beckeman in the 36th minute of play. 42 minutes into the game, Sandhult's Tom Linqvist nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Roy Pålsson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Christian Pååk to strike the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Christian Pååk in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ingemar Nordgren saved Sandhult from getting behind. Årsta's Roy Pålsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by George Beckeman in the 54th minute of play. Christian Pååk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Ingemar Nordgren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edvin Rudqvist hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Sebastian Sjödin struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Ingemar Nordgren didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Årsta. After a defensive mix-up in Årsta's zone, Tom Linqvist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roy Pålsson came out of the goal and Tom Linqvist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ivan Överman charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ivan Överman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 75th match minute, Årsta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivan Överman to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Årsta's zone, Tom Linqvist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roy Pålsson came out of the goal and Tom Linqvist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Axel Ålberg hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. When Tom Linqvist came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Sandhult fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tom Linqvist couldn't finish the play. Roy Pålsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benjamin Henriksson in the 82nd minute of the match. Christian Pååk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 86th minute, Benjamin Henriksson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Sandhult booed when Årsta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sivert Dusett didn't get a good kick on the ball. Årsta's Roy Pålsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erling Sjögren in the 96th minute of play. The Årsta supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Årsta would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
