Jan-Olof Gunnarsson started the match with the kick off. 4 minutes into the match, Årsta's goal looked a bit too open when Linus Vinström came free, but Roy Pålsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Egil Hellström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christian Pååk in the 6th minute of play. Dennis Lundkvist struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Roy Pålsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Österfärnebo. Jan-Olof Gunnarsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roy Pålsson having to interfere. Sebastian Sjödin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Egil Hellström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sebastian Sjödin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Pååk in the 22nd minute of play forced Österfärnebo's goalkeeper Egil Hellström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 26 played minutes Årsta got a freekick which was hit by Ivan Överman. Roy Pålsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jan-Olof Gunnarsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Årsta's Roy Pålsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan-Olof Gunnarsson in the 30th minute of play. 34 minutes into the game, Jonny Åberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Årsta's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Österfärnebo the free kick. The supporters of Österfärnebo booed when Årsta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonny Åberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. 42 minutes into the match, Österfärnebo's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastian Sjödin came free, but Egil Hellström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Christian Pååk stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Österfärnebo's Egil Hellström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christian Pååk in the 56th minute of play. Jan-Olof Gunnarsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dennis Lundkvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jan-Olof Gunnarsson succeeded in the game's 75th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-0. Sebastian Sjödin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Egil Hellström made a huge save. 80 minutes into the match, Årsta's Sebastian Sjödin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Egil Hellström narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Österfärnebo's Egil Hellström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christian Pååk in the 82nd minute of play. After 86 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Österfärnebo! For all the effort they put into the match, the Årsta players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Österfärnebo.
