Bäckefors FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Per-Arne Lund was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christian Runberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Reine Walmarsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Walter Blomqvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sven-Edvin Jakobsson hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vinberg IFK's goalkeeper Christian Runberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Alf Lindqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Christian Runberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A hard shot 32 in the game by Per-Arne Lund from a close distance when the talented Christian Runberg managed to make a qualified save. Vinberg IFK's players were relieved. Reine Walmarsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Walter Blomqvist read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. If Reine Walmarsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Vinberg IFK's Henrik Eklund in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Henrik Eklund blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Walter Blomqvist having to make a save. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Reine Walmarsson made a kick off. 57 minutes into the match, Bäckefors FK's Per-Arne Lund sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Christian Runberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 68 minutes into the match, Vinberg IFK's goal looked a bit too open when Per-Arne Lund came free, but Christian Runberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bäckefors FK were awarded a corner in the 70th minute after Vinberg IFK's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jon Olsson took the corner. In the 88th match minute, Vinberg IFK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henning Mattsson to maneuver through the defense. In the 90th minute of the match Aron Hegg sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Christian Runberg skillfully saved the ball. 94 minutes into the match, Vinberg IFK's goal looked a bit too open when Alf Lindqvist came free, but Christian Runberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 96 minutes, Reine Walmarsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vinberg IFK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Reine Walmarsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Vinberg IFK players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Bäckefors FK from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
