Bengt Högman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nils Bivall in the 17th minute of play. When Karlskoga IF's Vilhelm Wenerdahl in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Joel Berglund's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jerry Magnusson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. Karlskoga IF's Jerry Magnusson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Karlskoga IF from getting a goal against them. In the 39th minute, Åsele's Joel Berglund ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jerry Magnusson. Jerry Magnusson yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. 45 minutes into the match, Åsele's goal looked a bit too open when Nils Bivall came free, but Bengt Högman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Emil Brummer fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Åsele's protests and gave Emil Brummer a yellow card for diving instead. If Nils Bivall had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vilhelm Wenerdahl to strike the kick off in the second half. Karlskoga IF's Jerry Magnusson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Berglund in the 54th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Åsele's zone, Vilhelm Wenerdahl stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bengt Högman came out of the goal and Vilhelm Wenerdahl tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 65 minutes into the game, Bengt-Arne Pilberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Åsele's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Karlskoga IF the free kick. The supporters of Karlskoga IF booed when Åsele was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karlskoga IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Åsele the free kick. After 69 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Karlskoga IF! The referee gave Åsele a penalty, 71 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Harry Stor, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Karlskoga IF's Jerry Magnusson. 3-0. Vilhelm Wenerdahl fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 100th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bengt Högman having to interfere. Åsele were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Karlskoga IF for a fine match.
