A collision led to Svensbyn IK getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Joacim Wall hit a great ball. In the 11th minute, one of Sjövik RK:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Sjövik RK. The goalkeeper, Sakarias Thedin, was totally fooled by Svensbyn IK's Gilbert Ekenberg, who 13 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Patric Kilberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuel Bergfelt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 22nd minute, Örjan Lindholm hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sakarias Thedin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronny Öfverman in the 28th minute of the match. Sakarias Thedin made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Stellan Kiempe sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Stellan Kiempe got free with Sakarias Thedin in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Joakim Henriksson kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Ingemar Rosén fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patric Kilberg having to interfere. Patric Kilberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ingemar Rosén, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Sakarias Thedin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Stellan Kiempe in the 48th minute.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ronny Öfverman stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Sjövik RK's goal looked a bit too open when Stellan Kiempe came free, but Sakarias Thedin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stellan Kiempe in the 55th minute of play forced Sjövik RK's goalkeeper Sakarias Thedin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 57 minutes into the match, Svensbyn IK's goal looked a bit too open when Ingemar Rosén came free, but Patric Kilberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 58 minutes, Ingemar Rosén made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Svensbyn IK's Patric Kilberg tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Axel Arvidsson took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sakarias Thedin. Sakarias Thedin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. In the 68th minute of the match Gilbert Ekenberg sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sakarias Thedin skillfully saved the ball. 70 minutes into the match, Sjövik RK's goal looked a bit too open when Stellan Kiempe came free, but Sakarias Thedin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ingemar Rosén in the 73rd minute of play forced Svensbyn IK's goalkeeper Patric Kilberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Joakim Henriksson fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sjövik RK's protests and gave Joakim Henriksson a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Svensbyn IK booed when Sjövik RK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joakim Henriksson didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Ronny Öfverman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sakarias Thedin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stellan Kiempe in the 85th minute of play. 93 minutes into the game, Svensbyn IK's Ronny Öfverman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sakarias Thedin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Svensbyn IK fans cheered their team off the field, for while Sjövik RK had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
