Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Stockamöllan's Hubert Sundström started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Per Aspengren kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. In the 4thth minute of the game Olle Alebeck who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Stockamöllan's Kaj Billing was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Bengt Törnqvist came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Mellerud IFK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bengt Törnqvist couldn't finish the play. 7 minutes into the match, Stockamöllan's goal looked a bit too open when Olle Alebeck came free, but Kaj Billing reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kaj Billing showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olle Alebeck in the 9th minute of the match. 12 minutes into the game, Olle Alebeck recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Kaj Billing. Olle Alebeck showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Kaj Billing took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olle Alebeck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hubert Sundström struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Gert Berg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Stockamöllan. The audience was convinced that Hubert Sundström's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gert Berg was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. Ian Lundström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ian Lundström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gert Berg having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Bengt Törnqvist managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mellerud IFK's supporters rose to their feet, but Bengt Törnqvist was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kaj Billing breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 46thth minute of the game Hubert Sundström who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mellerud IFK's Gert Berg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

After a defensive mix-up in Mellerud IFK's zone, Ian Lundström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gert Berg came out of the goal and Ian Lundström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 59 minutes into the match, Stockamöllan's goal looked a bit too open when Olle Alebeck came free, but Kaj Billing reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kaj Billing took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olle Alebeck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 65 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Stockamöllan's Ian Lundström fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Gert Berg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hubert Sundström, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Mellerud IFK's Gert Berg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Mellerud IFK from getting a goal against them. Bengt Törnqvist scored 2-0 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kaj Billing, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 77 minutes into the game, Harry Håkansson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mellerud IFK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Stockamöllan the free kick. In the 77th minute, Harry Håkansson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Stockamöllan's Bernt Granqvist tried to score from far away in the 78th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. A collision led to Mellerud IFK getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Mark Larsson hit a great ball. When the match clock showed 84 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Bengt Törnqvist sped through Stockamöllan's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Kaj Billing. After having played for 89 minutes, Hubert Sundström managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stockamöllan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hubert Sundström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. August Wall received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Kaj Billing tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mellerud IFK's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
