A collision led to Skoghall FK getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Ludvig Blom hit a great ball. In the 13th minute Tobias Borre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilbert Skoog saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sören Lundström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 18 minutes, Tobias Borre managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Grangärde FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tobias Borre was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 24 minutes into the match, Grangärde FK's Tobias Borre sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gilbert Skoog narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ludvig Blom's late challenge caught a Grangärde FK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Gilbert Skoog took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tobias Borre, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 32 minutes of play, Grangärde FK's Tobias Borre made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gilbert Skoog was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Skoghall FK's Manfred Sjö got a free kick in the 37th minute. In the 45th minute Skoghall FK were awarded a corner. Martin Wickander went to the cornerflag to take it. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Sören Lundström took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Valentin Höijer. Valentin Höijer dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After 66 minutes, Tobias Borre mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Grangärde FK and the Skoghall FK players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Skoghall FK booed when Grangärde FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tobias Borre didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sören Lundström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valentin Höijer having to interfere. Sören Lundström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Martin Esbjörnsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Gilbert Skoog tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Grangärde FK's zone, Mattias Pettersson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valentin Höijer came out of the goal and Mattias Pettersson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bertil Åberg charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bertil Åberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Grangärde FK's Bertil Åberg got a free kick in the 93rd minute.
