Christopher Åberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Per-Åke Holmberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anton Ivarsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Anton Ivarsson made the kick off in the second half. The referee gave Åsbro IK a penalty, 60 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Holger Hult, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Flisby's Per-Åke Holmberg. 1-0. If Anton Ivarsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Åsbro IK booed when Flisby was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Allan Utfal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Åsbro IK walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
