Bromma's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 12 minutes into the match, Bromma's goal looked a bit too open when Tom Sandström came free, but Ivar Browall reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tom Sandström in the 21st minute of play forced Bromma's goalkeeper Ivar Browall to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd minute, Edmund Wennerquist reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Sten Grep. The goal made the score 1-1. Yngve Malmberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kjell-Arne Åhman during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Yngve Malmberg in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sten Grep saved Brottby from getting behind. Ivar Browall showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tom Sandström, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. In the 33rd minute, Tom Sandström left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Brottby fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. After the first half Brottby were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tom Sandström to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tom Sandström got free with Ivar Browall in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Patrick Carlberg lost his temper 61 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 60 minutes into the game, one of Brottby:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After a defensive mix-up in Brottby's zone, Edmund Wennerquist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sten Grep came out of the goal and Edmund Wennerquist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Yngve Malmberg took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sten Grep. Sten Grep dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Bromma's Edmund Wennerquist got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yngve Malmberg in the 74th minute of play forced Brottby's goalkeeper Sten Grep to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 75th minute, Edmund Wennerquist ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sten Grep was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. When Stefan Hultstrand fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick.
