Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Ulf Fanström made the kick off which started today's match. After a defensive mix-up in Yngsjö FF's zone, Sven-Edvin Backman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sven-Arne Bergman came out of the goal and Sven-Edvin Backman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 12 minutes of play, Nyland IK's Sven-Edvin Backman made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sven-Arne Bergman was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Arne Bruhn in the 15th minute of play forced Yngsjö FF's goalkeeper Sven-Arne Bergman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Isac Håkansson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nyland IK's Knut Dalström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulf Fanström in the 21st minute of play. In the 24th minute, Ulf Fanström fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Sven-Edvin Backman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sven-Arne Bergman having to interfere. Ulf Fanström blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Knut Dalström having to make a save. Sven-Arne Bergman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sven-Edvin Backman's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. In the 37th minute, Isac Håkansson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Knut Dalström was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. 43 minutes into the match, Isac Håkansson notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Nyland IK's Knut Dalström. Knut Dalström was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sven-Edvin Backman made a kick off. When Eric Rydelius fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Yngsjö FF's protests and gave Eric Rydelius a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Nyland IK booed when Yngsjö FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eric Rydelius didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nils-Erik Asserlindh was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 52nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The supporters of Nyland IK booed when Yngsjö FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alf Linquist didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Sven-Edvin Backman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sven-Arne Bergman was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 57 minutes, Isac Håkansson put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Knut Dalström. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ulf Fanström in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Knut Dalström saved Nyland IK from getting behind. If Sven-Edvin Backman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Knut Dalström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isac Håkansson in the 96th minute of play. Nyland IK's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
