Bo Willig fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kent Lundin having to interfere. When FC Kirten's Jim Hamberg in the 9th minute got a chance for a shot 9th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Pauliström IF's goalie prevented a goal. 12 minutes in the game, Bo Willig fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Kent Lundin having to interfere. Edmund Esbjörnsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hannes Wållander in the 16th minute of play. 18 minutes into the game, Eddie Persson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Edmund Esbjörnsson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jim Hambergs short, quick shot in the 22ndth minute got Kent Lundin to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Malte Persson's late challenge caught a Pauliström IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Malte Persson helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, FC Kirten's Bo Willig got a free kick in the 27th minute. Edmund Esbjörnsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jens-Åke Hansson in the 33rd minute of play. Jim Hamberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Kent Lundin made a huge save. A collision led to Pauliström IF getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Hannes Wållander hit a great ball. When FC Kirten's Jim Hamberg in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Pauliström IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Kirten the free kick. After 45 played minutes Pauliström IF got a freekick which was hit by Håkan Gadd. When Jim Hamberg came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the FC Kirten fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jim Hamberg couldn't finish the play.

With a little luck, FC Kirten's Edmund Esbjörnsson got control of the ball when Eddie Persson tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jim Hamberg in the 57th minute of play forced Pauliström IF's goalkeeper Kent Lundin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Edvin Bergström fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pauliström IF's protests and gave Edvin Bergström a yellow card for diving instead. After 58 played minutes Pauliström IF got a freekick which was hit by Edvin Bergström. Jim Hamberg kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. 65 minutes into the game, Hannes Wållander was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pauliström IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Kirten the free kick. The supporters of FC Kirten booed when Pauliström IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karl-Magnus Öberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 75 played minutes Pauliström IF got a freekick which was hit by Eddie Persson. When FC Kirten's Jim Hamberg in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Pauliström IF's goalie prevented a goal. 94 minutes into the match, FC Kirten's Jim Hamberg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kent Lundin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the final whistle went the supporters of Pauliström IF were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant FC Kirten side.
