In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lerum's goalkeeper Olov Lekberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Lerum's Karl-Erik Vikström got a free kick in the 5th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Lerum's zone, Fredric Hedman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Olov Lekberg came out of the goal and Fredric Hedman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Ivar Svensson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 10 minutes into the game, Kenny Pålsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lerum's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Klövsjö the free kick. Klövsjö's Calle Strömberg couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 11th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Lerum. Olov Lekberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fredric Hedman in the 14th minute of the match. Ivar Svensson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Olov Lekberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Olov Lekberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fredric Hedman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 22 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Lerum! An unexpectedly hard shot by Fredric Hedman in the 25th minute of play forced Lerum's goalkeeper Olov Lekberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claes Nykvist in the 28th minute of play forced Klövsjö's goalkeeper Peter Vallmark to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 29 minutes into the match, Klövsjö's goalkeeper Peter Vallmark had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Per Tidéksson. If Per Tidéksson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 34th minute Ivar Svensson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olov Lekberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ivar Svensson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Olov Lekberg having to make a save. The audience was convinced that Fredric Hedman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Olov Lekberg was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. If Ivar Svensson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Klövsjö were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fredric Hedman stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Karl-Erik Vikström charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Karl-Erik Vikström the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Lerum's Claes Nykvist in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Klövsjö's goalie prevented a goal. Klövsjö's Peter Vallmark played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Per Tidéksson in the 69th minute of play. 72 minutes into the match, Klövsjö's goal looked a bit too open when Claes Nykvist came free, but Peter Vallmark reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Klövsjö's Ivar Svensson got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fredric Hedman struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Olov Lekberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Klövsjö. If Ivar Svensson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bo-Erik Bock's late challenge caught a Klövsjö's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bo-Erik Bock helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in Lerum fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 84th minute. Penalty! With an all-out effort, Klövsjö's Olov Lekberg threw himself towards the right post 91 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Fredric Hedman, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Karl-Erik Vikström hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Olov Lekberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fredric Hedman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 95 minutes into the match, Lerum's goal looked a bit too open when Fredric Hedman came free, but Olov Lekberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Klövsjö walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
