The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When the match had gone on for 4 minutes, Mathias Blanck took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Alfred Biörling to make any attempt to save it. If Jan-Ove Ekerot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Jan-Ove Ekerot's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Åke Rolfsson was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. 14 minutes into the match, Villands Vånga's goal looked a bit too open when Jan-Ove Ekerot came free, but Åke Rolfsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Villands Vånga's zone, Jan-Ove Ekerot stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Åke Rolfsson came out of the goal and Jan-Ove Ekerot tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 18 minutes into the match, Villands Vånga's goal looked a bit too open when Johan Lekberg came free, but Åke Rolfsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Surte FK were awarded a corner in the 19th minute after Villands Vånga's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Rune Lundgren took the corner. Sixten Dahlkvist tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Åke Rolfsson. An unnecessary self made goal, 1-1 in the 19th minute. An unexpected shot in the 25th minute by Konrad Bergstedt got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 31 minutes into the game, Harry Andersson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Villands Vånga's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Surte FK the free kick. A collision led to Villands Vånga getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Harry Andersson hit a great ball. In the 32ndth minute of the game Johan Lekberg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Villands Vånga's Åke Rolfsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 38th minute Mathias Blanck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfred Biörling saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Edmund Lundqvist fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Villands Vånga's protests and gave Edmund Lundqvist a yellow card for diving instead. In the 47th match minute, Villands Vånga was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edmund Lundqvist to maneuver through the defense. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Johan Lekberg to strike the kick off in the second half. Alfred Biörling made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mathias Blanck in the 63rd minute of play. In the 66thth minute of the game Johan Lekberg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Villands Vånga's Åke Rolfsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Kenny Sellberg hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Alfred Biörling showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mathias Blanck in the 73rd minute of the match. Jan-Ove Ekerot fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Åke Rolfsson having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Konrad Bergstedt in the 82nd minute of play forced Surte FK's goalkeeper Alfred Biörling to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 84 minutes, Mathias Blanck managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Villands Vånga's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mathias Blanck was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Konrad Bergstedt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Surte FK's Alfred Biörling played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mathias Blanck in the 89th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Konrad Bergstedt in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alfred Biörling saved Surte FK from getting behind. Johan Lekberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Åke Rolfsson having to interfere. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
