In the 9th minute Sture Gregersson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nils Arvidsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 11th match minute, Filipstad was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henning Arvidsson to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stellan Olsmann in the 13th minute of play forced Filipstad's goalkeeper Nils Arvidsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 14th match minute, Duved was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vilhelm Östensson to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Duved getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Sture Gregersson hit a great ball. Nils Arvidsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sture Gregersson in the 20th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sture Gregersson in the 24th minute of play forced Filipstad's goalkeeper Nils Arvidsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 27th minute Stellan Olsmann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nils Arvidsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stellan Olsmann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Nils Arvidsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 31 minutes into the match, Duved's Stellan Olsmann sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nils Arvidsson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Karl-Michael Backman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Andreas Lundkvist's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. Charlie Bergqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Olof Biörkquist's late challenge caught a Filipstad's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Olof Biörkquist helped the player get up and apologised. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Andreas Lundkvist during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Stellan Olsmann scored 0-1 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nils Arvidsson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Andreas Lundkvist in the 48th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Karl-Michael Backman saved Duved from getting behind. After the first half Duved were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Filipstad's Nils Arvidsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stellan Olsmann in the 55th minute of play. When Einar Gernberg fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Duved's protests and gave Einar Gernberg a yellow card for diving instead. In the 59th match minute, Duved was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Einar Gernberg to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 63 minutes, Charlie Bergqvist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Filipstad's supporters crossed their fingers, but Charlie Bergqvist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Karl-Michael Backman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Andreas Lundkvist's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. When Henning Arvidsson fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Nils Arvidsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stellan Olsmann in the 86th minute of play. Charlie Bergqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Andreas Lundkvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 92nd minute, Sture Gregersson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Andreas Lundkvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl-Michael Backman having to interfere. When Filipstad's Charlie Bergqvist in the 96th minute got a chance for a shot 96th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Duved's goalie prevented a goal. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
