The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, Slavia Uppsala's goal looked a bit too open when Sixten Pååk came free, but Leif Spets reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kungshamn were furious when Rasmus Sandwall was red carded, 6 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Johnny Molin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ian Apelquist in the 13th minute. Ian Apelquist's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 16thth minute, Johnny Molin skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Thanks to some nice moves Ian Apelquist could shoot a difficult shot in the 43rd minute, which Johnny Molin however easily saved by the left post.

The wind increased when Ian Apelquist made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Henry Tidéksson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Slavia Uppsala's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kungshamn the free kick. In the 51st minute, Henry Tidéksson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emanuel Stigsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Leif Spets made a huge save. With a little luck, Slavia Uppsala's Leif Spets got control of the ball when Jan Falkrans tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the Slavia Uppsala defense, Jan Falkrans kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leif Spets. In the 64th minute, one of Slavia Uppsala:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Slavia Uppsala. Jan Falkrans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 73 minutes, Ian Apelquist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Slavia Uppsala's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ian Apelquist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jan Falkrans could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Leif Spets made a huge save. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kungshamn's goalkeeper Johnny Molin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Leif Spets acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 83rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Ture Harman. Leif Spets was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Sixten Pååk showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-3 in the 85 minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ian Apelquist in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Johnny Molin saved Kungshamn from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Kungshamn's zone, Nils-Erik Vestlund stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Johnny Molin came out of the goal and Nils-Erik Vestlund tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Emanuel Stigsson took the ball and in the 98 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leif Spets. Leif Spets dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-4.
