After a defensive mix-up in Alingsås's zone, Leo Bergstedt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stefan Valler came out of the goal and Leo Bergstedt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 10 minutes into the match, Björketorp IK's Jonny Lindholm sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Stefan Valler narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 13 minutes into the match, Alingsås's goalkeeper Stefan Valler had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leo Bergstedt. Jonny Lindholm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leo Bergstedt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Stefan Valler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Magne Löfskog showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kent Björklund in the 30th minute of the match. A collision led to Alingsås getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Torgny Esbjörnsson hit a great ball. Leo Bergstedt in the 31stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Stefan Valler, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leo Bergstedt got free with Stefan Valler in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Björketorp IK's Jonny Lindholm in the 45th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Stefan Valler was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Alingsås through an amazing save. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jonny Lindholm made a kick off. Anders Sjöö fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Magne Löfskog having to interfere. Magne Löfskog didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 58th minute, which inside left pole to 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Björketorp IK's zone, Kent Björklund stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Magne Löfskog came out of the goal and Kent Björklund tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kent Björklund struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Magne Löfskog didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alingsås. Anders Sjöö fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Magne Löfskog having to interfere. In the 77th minute, Leo Bergstedt left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Björketorp IK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After some careless play in the Alingsås defense, Leo Bergstedt kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Stefan Valler. The Alingsås fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Stefan Valler should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Björketorp IK booed when Alingsås was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anders Sjöö didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 92 played minutes Björketorp IK got a freekick which was hit by Leo Bergstedt. Anders Sjöö fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Magne Löfskog having to interfere. Alingsås's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
