Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Pontus Vennerdal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jens-Ola Engström, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Mellerud's Jens-Ola Engström slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Pontus Vennerdal. That made the score 1-0 after 7 minutes of play. With his leg Pontus Vennerdal managed to avoid a goal in the 13thth minute, when Mellerud's Urban Danielsson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 14th minute Jens-Ola Engström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pontus Vennerdal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 17th minute, Jan Nordström got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 20th minute of the match, Jens-Ola Engström tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Pontus Vennerdal saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 27th match minute, Jonsered RK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victor Johnsson to maneuver through the defense. Jonsered RK's Pontus Vennerdal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jens-Ola Engström in the 29th minute of play. Jens-Ola Engström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 33 minutes, Gustaf Wallman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jonsered RK and the Mellerud players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 34th match minute, Jonsered RK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gustaf Wallman to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jens-Ola Engström in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pontus Vennerdal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gustaf Wallman was shown his second yellow card after 42 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of Mellerud booed when Jonsered RK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustaf Wallman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pontus Vennerdal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jens-Ola Engström in the 44th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fritz Rydelius during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 45th match minute, Jonsered RK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fritz Rydelius to maneuver through the defense. If Urban Danielsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joacim Pil to strike the kick off in the second half. With a left leg Pontus Vennerdal saved Jonsered RK from getting behind. Mellerud's Jens-Ola Engström got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Urban Danielsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Pontus Vennerdal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joacim Pil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Leif Jernberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonsered RK's Joacim Pil got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Mellerud's zone, Joacim Pil stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leif Jernberg came out of the goal and Joacim Pil tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Joacim Pil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Mellerud's Leif Jernberg got control of the ball when Joacim Pil tried to sneak it across the goal line. Pontus Vennerdal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jens-Ola Engström in the 80th minute of play. Joacim Pil kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Joacim Pil could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Leif Jernberg made a huge save. Jan Nordström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Pontus Vennerdal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mellerud were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Jonsered RK for a fine match.
