Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Kvidinge BK's Eric Wallmark proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Kvidinge BK from getting a goal against them. In the 7th minute Philip Ahlquist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leif Jernberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Urban Danielsson fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mellerud's protests and gave Urban Danielsson a yellow card for diving instead. Urban Danielsson kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. The supporters of Mellerud booed when Kvidinge BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wiktor Björk didn't get a good kick on the ball. Urban Danielsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jerry Grönberg kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. 23 minutes into the match, Mellerud's goal looked a bit too open when Karl-Magnus Törnblom came free, but Leif Jernberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Karl-Magnus Törnblom managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kvidinge BK's supporters rose to their feet, but Karl-Magnus Törnblom was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leif Jernberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Kvidinge BK getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Karl-Axel Palmkvist hit a great ball. If Karl-Magnus Törnblom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 39 minutes, Karl-Magnus Törnblom managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kvidinge BK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Karl-Magnus Törnblom was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Philip Ahlquist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eric Wallmark made an important save on a dangerous shot by Urban Danielsson in the 44th minute. Jens-Ola Engström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eric Wallmark having to interfere.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jens-Ola Engström was the one to do the kick off. Jens-Ola Engström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Eric Wallmark tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eric Wallmark made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Urban Danielsson in the 56th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Mellerud's zone, Karl-Magnus Törnblom stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leif Jernberg came out of the goal and Karl-Magnus Törnblom tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jens-Ola Engström in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eric Wallmark saved Kvidinge BK from getting behind. Philip Ahlquist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Urban Danielsson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eric Wallmark having to make a save. Through an outstanding action, after 69 minutes, Leif Jernberg successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. If Philip Ahlquist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Kvidinge BK getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Zebastian Törnblom hit a great ball. Philip Ahlquist could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Leif Jernberg made a huge save. Philip Ahlquist struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Leif Jernberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kvidinge BK. Philip Ahlquists short, quick shot in the 90thth minute got Leif Jernberg to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 97 played minutes Mellerud got a freekick which was hit by Stig Lidman. Philip Ahlquist recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 99th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
