Stefan Nyman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johan Ahlfors having to interfere. Anton Björnsson might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Östen Dalberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. In the 17th minute, Sten Bjurström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 20 minutes into the match, Sala RK's goalkeeper Johan Ahlfors had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kjell Björklund. In the 23rd minute Arne Gallin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Östen Dalberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kjell Björklund received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Johan Ahlfors tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stefan Nyman in the 27th minute of play forced Sala RK's goalkeeper Johan Ahlfors to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kjell Björklund recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, FC Riverhouse's Torbjörn Soned got a free kick in the 30th minute. Östen Dalberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Anton Björnsson's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. Stefan Nyman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kjell Björklund succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 41st playminute. After 46th play minutes Stefan Nyman shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Johan Ahlfors and just under the crossbar into goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Stefan Nyman made a kick off. Hubert Ryberg took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 58th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Johan Ahlfors. Sala RK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. FC Riverhouse's Kjell Björklund got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. FC Riverhouse's Gunnar Jakobsson suffered a sore thigh after 66 minutes and couldn't finish the game. In the 67th match minute, Sala RK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lennart Harlén to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in FC Riverhouse's zone, Arne Gallin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Östen Dalberg came out of the goal and Arne Gallin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Arne Gallin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Per-Erik Nordström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Torbjörn Soned had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, FC Riverhouse's Torbjörn Soned got a free kick in the 87th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Sala RK's zone, Kjell Björklund stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Johan Ahlfors came out of the goal and Kjell Björklund tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kjell Björklund struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Johan Ahlfors didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Riverhouse. Per-Erik Nordström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johan Ahlfors having to interfere. FC Riverhouse walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
