The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Torsten Falkrantz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evert Stenberg in the 12th minute of the match. Östavall BF's Torsten Falkrantz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Morgan Göransson in the 17th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jan-Åke Rudkvist got free with Gert Arenberg in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ulf Ekeberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Gert Arenberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Östavall BF booed when Kangos BF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kenny Gustafsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 78thth minute of the game Ulf Ekeberg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kangos BF's Gert Arenberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 88th minute Morgan Göransson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Torsten Falkrantz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
