Grundsund RK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Villands Vånga IF the free kick. In the 11th match minute, Grundsund RK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rune Hjälm to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Villands Vånga IF getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Kenneth Björkkvist hit a great ball. 22 minutes into the game, Magnus Ahlbom recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Hubert Svanér. Magnus Ahlbom showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Villands Vånga IF's Hubert Svanér proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Villands Vånga IF from getting a goal against them. In the 32nd minute, Ernst Kruuse got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ernst Kruuse's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 36thth minute, Hubert Svanér skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. With his leg Hubert Svanér managed to avoid a goal in the 43rdth minute, when Grundsund RK's Ernst Kruuse fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jack Berggren stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 2-1 became the score in the 53rd minute when Ernst Kruuse elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The supporters of Villands Vånga IF booed when Grundsund RK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rune Hjälm didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 68th minute, Folke Juhlin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Villands Vånga IF's Lars Larsson shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 69th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Nils Vennerlund but with some difficulty. In the 71st minute, Ernst Kruuse got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rickard Nässén scored 2-2 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nils Vennerlund, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Grundsund RK getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Mikael Nordin hit a great ball. After 86 minutes of play, Villands Vånga IF's Pär Brandin made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nils Vennerlund was left in no man's land by his defense there! Per-Oskar Smitt lost his temper 90 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 89 minutes into the game, one of Grundsund RK:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After having played for 96 minutes, Jack Berggren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Villands Vånga IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jack Berggren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 97th match minute, Grundsund RK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rune Hjälm to maneuver through the defense. The Villands Vånga IF supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Villands Vånga IF would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
