Torbjörn Söderqvist in the 5thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Nils Vennerlund, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Nils Vennerlund made an important save on a dangerous shot by Torbjörn Söderqvist in the 6th minute. Harald Willig lost his temper 11 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 10 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Hammar BK! Börje Engström hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Bengt-Arne Högström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Magnus Ahlbom in the 18th minute of play. Ernst Kruuse received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Bengt-Arne Högström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Magnus Ahlbom in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bengt-Arne Högström saved Hammar BK from getting behind. Hammar BK's Bengt-Arne Högström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Börje Engström in the 26th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Magnus Ahlbom in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bengt-Arne Högström saved Hammar BK from getting behind. In the 32nd minute, Börje Engström left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Grundsund RK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Magnus Ahlbom took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bengt-Arne Högström. Bengt-Arne Högström dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Hammar BK's Bengt-Arne Högström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Magnus Ahlbom in the 38th minute of play. In the 41stth minute of the game Magnus Ahlbom who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hammar BK's Bengt-Arne Högström was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bengt-Arne Högström stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Magnus Ahlbom's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. The Hammar BK players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Grundsund RK were winning 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Torbjörn Söderqvist stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 58th minute, Magnus Ahlbom reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Bengt-Arne Högström. The goal made the score 0-4. The supporters of Hammar BK booed when Grundsund RK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Magnus Ahlbom didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match clock showed 62 minutes, the score became 1-4 when Torbjörn Söderqvist sped through Grundsund RK's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Nils Vennerlund. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lars-Erik Holm got free with Bengt-Arne Högström in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 66 played minutes Hammar BK got a freekick which was hit by Ted Jönsson. With his leg Bengt-Arne Högström managed to avoid a goal in the 67thth minute, when Grundsund RK's Börje Engström fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The audience was convinced that Magnus Ahlbom's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bengt-Arne Högström was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. With his leg Bengt-Arne Högström managed to avoid a goal in the 72ndth minute, when Grundsund RK's Börje Engström fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Mikael Nordin hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Hammar BK reached it. After 74 minutes, Magnus Ahlbom mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Grundsund RK and the Hammar BK players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Grundsund RK's Magnus Ahlbom got a free kick in the 75th minute. Bengt-Arne Högström made an important save on a dangerous shot by Börje Engström in the 78th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Magnus Ahlbom in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bengt-Arne Högström prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Börje Engström had several of the Hammar BK's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 81 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-5 score and a disappointed Bengt-Arne Högström as he didn't even see the shot coming. After 88 played minutes, Grundsund RK's Mikael Nordin shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Bengt-Arne Högström came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Grundsund RK reached it. Lars-Erik Holm received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Bengt-Arne Högström came out and tried to block the shot, but Lars-Erik Holm slotted it home off the left post making it 1-6 in the 89th minute. 92 minutes into the match, Hammar BK's goal looked a bit too open when Magnus Ahlbom came free, but Bengt-Arne Högström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Hammar BK's Bo Drake got a free kick in the 94th minute. Grundsund RK's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
