If Uno Josefsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Habo's zone, Rune Bergsten stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Egon Lindqvist came out of the goal and Rune Bergsten tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Klagshamn's Allan Gråberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erling Bergfelt in the 14th minute of play. Erland Hedlund struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Allan Gråberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Habo. Allan Gråberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erland Hedlund in the 22nd minute of play. Habo's Erland Hedlund got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Erling Bergfelt in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Allan Gråberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Erland Hedlund might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Allan Gråberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Erland Hedlund ran back to his position shaking his head. If Erland Hedlund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Habo booed when Klagshamn was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jens-Ove Jonasson didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Erland Hedlund's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Allan Gråberg was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. Habo's Erling Bergfelt got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 43 played minutes Habo got a freekick which was hit by Allan Abelsson. 46 minutes into the match, Habo's Erland Hedlund sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Allan Gråberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Erling Bergfelt scored 1-1 in the 48th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Allan Gråberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When Allan Abelsson fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Habo's protests and gave Allan Abelsson a yellow card for diving instead. In the 55th match minute, Habo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Allan Abelsson to maneuver through the defense. Uno Josefsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Egon Lindqvist having to interfere. After 60 minutes, Thomas Fransson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Klagshamn and the Habo players grew even worse after the yellow card. The long shot by Michel Wenerdahl in the 61st minute really tested Allan Gråberg's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Allan Gråberg made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Erland Hedlund sent off a good shot on target. In the 65th minute, Erling Bergfelt reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Allan Gråberg. The goal made the score 1-2. With a little luck, Klagshamn's Allan Gråberg got control of the ball when Erland Hedlund tried to sneak it across the goal line. 73 minutes into the game, Erland Hedlund cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Allan Gråberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thomas Fransson hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Erland Hedlund could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Allan Gråberg made a huge save. Erling Bergfelt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Erling Bergfelt in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 97 minutes had been played when some careless play by Habo's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Karl-Axel Rang was slow to take the kick. During this time Klagshamn's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Klagshamn's Karl-Axel Rang to fire away a dangerous shot which Egon Lindqvist despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Habo's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
