Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Östen Hellström took the kick off in the first half of the match. Virsbo's Bernt Deckbergh played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Håkan Jelm in the 4th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Östen Hellström in the 7th minute of play forced Simlångsdalen's goalkeeper Jan-Åke Andersson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Östen Hellström came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Virsbo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Östen Hellström couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Virsbo booed when Simlångsdalen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carl Almstedt didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Simlångsdalen's Jan-Åke Andersson got control of the ball when Patric Lilja tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Håkan Jelm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 21 minutes into the match, Simlångsdalen's goal looked a bit too open when Östen Hellström came free, but Jan-Åke Andersson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 21 played minutes Simlångsdalen got a freekick which was hit by Verner Kiempe. An unexpected shot in the 26th minute by Patric Lilja got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Patric Lilja's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jan-Åke Andersson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. Östen Hellström struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Jan-Åke Andersson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Virsbo. In the 32nd minute, Kenneth Hellkvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Oliver Bergman came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Simlångsdalen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oliver Bergman couldn't finish the play. Patric Lilja could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Jan-Åke Andersson made a huge save. Jan-Åke Andersson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Östen Hellström in the 41st minute of the match. Carl Almstedt kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Simlångsdalen's Bengt-Rune Askstedt managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Algot Biörkquist in the 46 minute of the game.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Oliver Bergman was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Håkan Jelm got free with Bernt Deckbergh in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bernt Deckbergh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gunnar Trulsson in the 54th minute of the match. In the 57th minute, Gunnar Trulsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Virsbo's zone, Oliver Bergman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bernt Deckbergh came out of the goal and Oliver Bergman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Oliver Bergman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Bernt Deckbergh made a huge save. Verner Kiempe struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Bernt Deckbergh didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Simlångsdalen. Jarl Blom's late challenge caught a Simlångsdalen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jarl Blom helped the player get up and apologised. After 71 played minutes Virsbo got a freekick which was hit by Jarl Blom. Oliver Bergman was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 79th minute. Simlångsdalen's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 80th match minute, Virsbo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kenny Arvidsson to maneuver through the defense. Patric Lilja charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Patric Lilja the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Patric Lilja kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Gunnar Trulsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Verner Kiempe was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 91st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Carl Almstedt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match was over Simlångsdalen could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Virsbo throughout the match.
