The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Göran Axelsson acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 4th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Simon Brolin. In the 4th minute, Bertil Örtendal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ingvar Beck hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Jan-Åke Bryngelsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Göran Axelsson was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. 17 minutes into the game, Thomas Vallgren cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Göran Axelsson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Lögdeå RK's zone, Henrik Ödman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roger Larsfält came out of the goal and Henrik Ödman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Kälarne BK getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Hubert Gabrielsson hit a great ball. In the 26th minute Leif Fors shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roger Larsfält saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Kälarne BK's Göran Axelsson got control of the ball when Boris Winström tried to sneak it across the goal line. With his leg Göran Axelsson managed to avoid a goal in the 41stth minute, when Lögdeå RK's Boris Winström fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Henrik Ödman struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Roger Larsfält didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kälarne BK. Boris Winström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Göran Axelsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Henrik Ödman to make the kick off. In the 52nd match minute, Lögdeå RK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Michael Lange to maneuver through the defense. Lögdeå RK's Roger Larsfält proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Lögdeå RK from getting a goal against them. Roger Larsfält showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henrik Ödman in the 55th minute of the match. The supporters of Lögdeå RK booed when Kälarne BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bertil Örtendal didn't get a good kick on the ball. 61 minutes into the game, Leif Fors cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Roger Larsfält was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Leif Fors sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henrik Ödman in the 67th minute of play forced Lögdeå RK's goalkeeper Roger Larsfält to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Boris Winström came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Lögdeå RK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Boris Winström couldn't finish the play. Jan-Åke Bryngelsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Göran Axelsson having to interfere. In the 76th minute, Henrik Ödman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Roger Larsfält was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. In the 79th match minute, Kälarne BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bertil Örtendal to maneuver through the defense. If Jan-Åke Bryngelsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Kälarne BK booed when Lögdeå RK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Johan Ivarsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Roger Larsfält acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 96th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Roger Eckegren. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Kälarne BK walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
