The crowd rose to their feet as Sandarne's Folke Alstedt slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Evert Browald. Folke Alstedt ran back to his position shaking his head. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

After 55 minutes, Gustaf Sigman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sandarne and the Ätran IFK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Rune Lindström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Evert Browald tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kim Johnsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 79th minute of the match, Gilbert Nilsson tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Georg Askstedt saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 81st minute, Jack Deckberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sandarne fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Jack Deckberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evert Browald having to interfere. If Jack Deckberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Ätran IFK's zone, Folke Alstedt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Evert Browald came out of the goal and Folke Alstedt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Sandarne had played much better football throughout.
