Ulf Mårtensson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Orvar Odén having to interfere. Edvard Strömberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Orvar Odén tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Orvar Odén showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edvard Strömberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Sixten Vester charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sixten Vester the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Orvar Odén made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Valla's zone, Måns Gallberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oskar Lagerberg came out of the goal and Måns Gallberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Valla's Oskar Lagerberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Valla from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Valla's Edvard Strömberg slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Orvar Odén. That made the score 1-3 after 80 minutes of play. During the 93rd minute of the match Sixten Vester completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Sixten Vester a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 94th minute, Sixten Vester hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Valla supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Valla would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
