An unexpectedly hard shot by Elof Kilstedt in the 18th minute of play forced Filipstad BK's goalkeeper Bernt Kleen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 0-1 became the score in the 24th minute when Lennart Kilstedt elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Elof Kilstedt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adam Lindholm's late challenge caught a Filipstad BK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lennart Kilstedt stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Lennart Kilstedt struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Bernt Kleen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lennart Kilstedt in the 67th minute of play. 73 minutes into the match, Filipstad BK's goal looked a bit too open when Lennart Kilstedt came free, but Bernt Kleen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Lennart Kilstedt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bertil Svanström charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bertil Svanström the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Bernt Kleen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 96 minutes, Lennart Kilstedt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Östergmalms FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lennart Kilstedt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Östergmalms FK's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
