Rolf Ahlfors took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Måns Mickelsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tony Ferm's late challenge caught a Filipstad BK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tony Ferm helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Filipstad BK booed when Nordmaling was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tony Ferm didn't get a good kick on the ball. Christopher Västlund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bernt Kleen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Henrik Gadd in the 31st minute. During the 33rd minute of the match Tony Ferm completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Tony Ferm a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to Nordmaling getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Tony Ferm hit a great ball. In the 37th minute, Måns Mickelsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Henrik Gadd recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rolf Ahlfors took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bertil Svanström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Henrik Gadd to strike the kick off in the second half. Henrik Gadd fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernt Kleen having to interfere. If Bertil Svanström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rolf Ahlfors showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bertil Svanström, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henrik Gadd in the 69th minute of play forced Filipstad BK's goalkeeper Bernt Kleen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mikael Springfält hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. In the 74th minute Bertil Svanström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolf Ahlfors saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Måns Mickelsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Filipstad BK players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
