The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 11th minute Axel Rydberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aldo Paul saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ulvöhamn BK's Oskar Wassenius played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viktor Byström in the 13th minute of play. Aldo Paul took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Örjan Ahlquist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Jens-Ove Ahlström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Oskar Wassenius stood somewhat misplaced when Viktor Byström came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 20 minute. Richard Morat hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Örjan Ahlquist's late challenge caught a Skillingaryd IFK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Örjan Ahlquist helped the player get up and apologised. After 28 played minutes Ulvöhamn BK got a freekick which was hit by Örjan Ahlquist. Jens-Ove Ahlström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oskar Wassenius having to interfere. Viktor Byström blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Oskar Wassenius having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Viktor Byström managed to get in a good position for a shot. Skillingaryd IFK's supporters rose to their feet, but Viktor Byström was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Oskar Wassenius breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Skillingaryd IFK walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
