But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jimmie Ersman couldn't finish the play. After 16 played minutes Karlsborgsverken IK got a freekick which was hit by Malte Karlberg. Edvin Lindberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sven-Oskar Smefeldt in the 20th minute of play. If Jimmie Ersman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jimmie Ersman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edvin Lindberg having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Karlsborgsverken IK's Edward Asplund got a free kick in the 30th minute. Hampus Söderqwist took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 31st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Edvin Lindberg. Karlsborgsverken IK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Edvin Lindberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sven-Oskar Smefeldt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Timmy Mattsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Osvald Berggren made a huge save. In the 40th minute, Gunnar Vall got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 42nd minute, Alf Bolander reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Osvald Berggren. The goal made the score 1-0. With a little luck, Björkö IF's Osvald Berggren got control of the ball when Timmy Mattsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 49th minute, Karlsborgsverken IK's Alf Bolander ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Osvald Berggren. Osvald Berggren yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Alf Bolander made the kick off in the second half. Edvin Lindberg didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 59th minute, which inside left pole to 2-1. After 61 played minutes Björkö IF got a freekick which was hit by Ivar Bålström. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jimmie Ersman got free with Edvin Lindberg in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sven-Oskar Smefeldt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. During the 68th minute of the match Gunnar Vall completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Gunnar Vall a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. If Ivar Bålström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jimmie Ersman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edvin Lindberg having to interfere. Karlsborgsverken IK's Edvin Lindberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sven-Oskar Smefeldt in the 88th minute of play. Osvald Berggren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alf Nordkvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Osvald Berggren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Timmy Mattsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
